BIT BY BIT
The psalmist in Psalm 69:2, Psalm 69:2 KJV
“I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.” This is the theory of some Christians who find themselves stuck in difficult situations. Usually, we expect God to hastily come to our aid in times like this, but it is important to know that as much as God longs to help us, He is a God of order who makes all things beautiful in his own time. You cannot trust him or dictate to Him; he will execute His plans for your life bit by bit if you patiently wait on Him.
Stepping into God’s plans for your life begins with a relationship with Him. Are you in Sin? Then, you are in opposition to God’s plan for your life. Accept Jesus and walk with Him in holiness of life. Ask for the power of Holyspirit to live a victorious Christian life.
Take pleasures in God’s word. Make it your constant companion, and you will know the mind of God and the promises he has in store for you.
Resist the temptation to blame God for the difficult situations you find your self. Resist impatience. Don’t worry about how long is going to take to answer prayers. Don’t become impatient and resort to self management like Saul who found himself in a dicey situation where he became impatient and missed out of God’s plan for his life. God is working for your good but you must allow him to do it in his own time.
Don’t make a fuss over what God has not done. Acknowledge the good things in your life as the workings of the lord, and then you will be living out of the words of the song writer “count your blessings name them one by one and it will surprise you what the lord has done”.
Cancel every negative utterance the devil whispers to you. Receive God’s grace to remain steadfast in the faith. As God works out his plans for your life, make a resolution into patiently waiting on Him till your change comes.
For some people, difficult times usually serve as an opportunity to give up on their faith. Do not resign to fate; rather recharge your faith by reading the promises of God and claiming them for yourself.
No matter the situation you may find yourself, let it settle in your heart that it is not God’s will for you to remain in that challenging situation. His desire for you to move forward and upward. He may allow you to pass through difficult situations so as to strengthen you and establish you in the faith. Don’t be in a hurry; wait on the lord and he will work things out for you!
