Music is beyond the singer; the vessel conveying the song to the public. That’s why worship should be a lifestyle and not a MOOD. We are not to swift in and out of worship because it’s also a mystery in the spirit. The spirit of prophecy and revelation rides upon the wings of hymns and spiritual songs.
There is a weight of impartation that flows in the spirit when you sing. Your mind may not be permitted to know all but all you have to do is to flow along with the wind of the spirit. You need to know the wind of the spirit because there is a difference between presence and power. Sometimes we pretend to really feel His presence and be moved whereas it’s just only emotional and the spirit of God is not driving it.
The presence of God is a symbol of your consistency in God, it’s a reward for painstaking and it cannot be bought. Our consistency in God has a minister helps the rate at which the presence will be manifested. You may fake it, but God knows our consistency in our walk with Him.
When you carry the presence of God, you stand to minister and lives will be affected. Its not about the voice, nor the talent, but there is a place of the anointing; the oil upon the head. It must not run dry, continually fill it because the fire upon the altar must not go off.
There is a place of skills, but the most important is that God is revealed in our songs and through our lives. Its not the vessel that makes the house great but the builder. What type of builder are you? The quality of your Christian experience is not left to God but your submission and willingness to rise through that spiritual process called submission.
Challenges of a Music Ministers Besides Anointing
On our part to become vessels of God, there are inconveniences associated with our training but we must continue steadfastly in God because the world awaits our manifestation. We cannot afford to fail, calm down! take your time! Let God inspire you, do not just sing or minister as a casual thing or normal routine but its more than that. Desire to have His presence more in your ministration.
Don’t be proud, go down in humility to God to commit all to Him always, don’t neglect your prayer altar.
Challenges of a Music Ministers Besides Anointing
The Challenges That Face a Music Minister Are:
- First and foremost, they need to be in tune with God’s word. This will help them understand the Word of God better and also help them in their ministry.
- The second challenge is being able to tell the difference between right and wrong, good and bad. This can be difficult especially when it comes to the youth.
- Thirdly, many musicians have problems with controlling their emotions while they are performing on stage or while they are singing in the church choir, or even when they are preaching during worship services.
- It is also important for them to be able to deal with people who are angry or rude towards them because this may affect their performance or even cause them to lose control over their emotions which could lead to a breakdown in their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ who is waiting for them at home where he has promised that he will always love them no matter what happens in life even though they may have sinned against him by their actions towards each other as well as towards others who do not deserve such treatment from them
Challenge 1: We do not have a lot of money.
Challenge 2: We do not get enough time to practice our art.
Challenge 3: Our family/friends do not understand or accept us as music ministers.
Challenge 4: Most churches are not very accepting of this idea of music ministry.
As a music minister, you will have many challenges. Some of them are:
- You will have to learn how to play the instrument or instruments that you’re playing.
- You will have to learn how to read music and write it down so that your congregation can understand what you’re singing.
- You will have to memorize all of the songs that you want to sing for your congregation to enjoy them as much as possible.
- You will have to learn how to keep up with the tempo of the song and make sure that you’re not going too fast or too slow for your congregation’s liking
Music ministers are an important part of the Christian community. They play and sing during worship services, Zumba classes, and other gatherings around the world.
But what are some of the challenges that come with being a music minister?
Some of these challenges include:
- Someone else is always in charge of what songs to sing at church.
- You have to have the perfect pitch to be a good musician or singer (or both).
- You have limited time each week to practice and prepare for your performance.
- There are other musical instruments that you can use besides just singing/playing an instrument (which might be more difficult).
