Christ’s purpose for marriage is to reflect the relationship between Him and the church. It signifies that couples should love each other as he loved the church.
Marriage is a covenant, not just a mere related. It is divine as much as it is human. It is a convenant between you and God. Our marriage might be humming along but at some point they start to fade and if we don’t take the appropriate measures, they may soon crash. You need continual ‘charging up’ to to keep your marriage alive and the spiritual energy needed for your marriage is supplied by the holy spirit. Be filled with the spirit.
Each partner must be connected to the ultimate power source of God and then we will be power sources for our marriages as well. As married couples be connected to one another which will deepen your journey towards becoming one. God will surely do amazing things in your marriage when you are plugged to him.
Communication in marriage is too important to be neglected. You should be able to express your feelings and resolve issues that will pose a threat to your marriage. The happiness of marital life depends upon making small sacrifices readily and cheerfully. No marriage is perfect, you just have to work at it together and make it a perfect relationship.
To succeed in your marriage, you must make Christ the head and counsellor of your home, it is only then you can achieve the best result. Dip yourself and your partner to daily digging of the word of God. Bury yourself in sweet communion with the Lord. Let your family altar burn onto God with a sweet smelling savour. Dig deep into his refreshing fountain and trust him daily for strength.
Pray continually and have faith that there is nothing impossible in God and he will fulfil his will concerning your marriage.
Shalom!
