It was on a fateful evening, my younger brother; the last born of the house, took my android phone and mistakenly smashed it on the ground. It was a tiled floor. The phone landed on the ground as I watched it. I took the phone, only for the screen to be broken at different places, fortunately for me the calibration was not affected. I did not know when tears started rolling off my eyes, it was intense and my mouth was not in a good shape. Everyone looked at me and was surprised why I could be crying cause of my phone and what could be repaired.
To me it was beyond the money to repair it, I love my phone so much, very neat and still new even after 8 months of purchase and I did not want anything to happen to it. After that incidence, the holy spirit spoke to me and said if that was the way I valued my relationship with God and would not allow anything to break the link, if that was how I would cry if I don’t study the word of God for days or pray or have time with God, then I would not be where I am in my walk with God.
So many of us value our devices, phones and gadgets than our work with the Father. You need to get God. Spend time with him than being on social media. Hmmmmm… Out of your busy schedule, you will always have time to press phone. How do you feel when you have not studied the word of God?, how do you feel when you don’t have subscription on your phones?, some can even go to the extent of using someone else’ Wi-Fi . Hmmmm…If we can apply the same drive with passion to our walk with God then we would go far.
How do you value your relationship with God? Be concerned about updating yourself daily in the word of God than changing display pictures daily and snapping selfies. What are the things you value more? You need to retrace your steps, get serious with him and it Shall be well with you. Shalom.
