According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, Sanctity is the quality or state of being holy, very important, valuable or sacred. Sexual means relating to sex or involving sex. So in literal terms, we can say that sexual sanctity is a state of being pure and holy from relating to sex or involving in sex.
Sex is a beautiful thing and it’s ordained by God. It’s a very good thing if done in marriage. No one would want to tell you this but sex is great and beautiful for married couples only. In recent times we see youths running away directly from sexual intercourse but still want to enjoy the pleasure of sex. How?
In practical terms the so called ‘outer-course’ is practiced by most. Examples like kissing, petting, caressing, fondling, fingering, sucking, stroking, smooching etc. they play around with sex but don’t finally have sex. They practice a lot of fore plays.
Some even go the extent of having sex but will use drugs to prevent pregnancy and different methods just to prevent pregnancy, or even in extreme cases, if pregnancy occurs some will even abort why?
The bible says in Heb 13;4 that ‘marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled’. According to our earlier definition it says sanctity means sacred, your sexual organs are sacred, not to be touched by anyone. Why would you masturbate all in the name of sexual urges. Sexual urge is not a sin but it only tells you that you are human, complete and there is no problem with you psychologically.
What do you feed your minds with? Pornographic videos? Naked pictures? You should not in any form relate to sex when you are not married. Your body is the temple of God why would you toil your destiny because of some minute’s pleasure. Sex is not to be done outside marriage.
Stand for God! Sexual sanctity is a state of being pure sexually both in and out, in the body and everywhere. Don’t play around with your future, don’t compare yourself with others. Don’t think because others are doing it and getting away with it you can also do it. What if something happens in your own case?
The bible says ‘flee youthful lust’, flee from every appearance of evil. You are not to sleep in that guys house till night or try to stay over night because its raining. For how long will you stay in that ungodly relationship, for how long will you pretend to be what you are not.
Make a decision today to stand for purity and God alone. It is possible for you to have a pure courtship. Don’t be deceived, don’t be ignorant of the devices of the enemy. No one should play around with your destiny. Make your choice today. If you have fallen you can rise again there is hope for you and don’t go back it shall be well with you God bless! Shalom.
