The easiest way to receive divine attention and intervention is to praise God even before your deliverance comes. Praise him for what is coming. Adore him for what he is going to do. I don’t think there is a sweeter song in God’s ear than the songs of the one who blesses him for grace that has not yet been tasted, for answers that have not been received but are sure to come.
The praise for past gratitude is sweet, but even sweeter is the praise of full confidence that all will be well. Therefore, take down your harps from the wallows and sing a song of Zion. Though you have no income to meet your needs and are brought to Poverty’s down, nonetheless, bless the Lord. His mighty Providence cannot fail so long as one of his children needs to be provided for. Go in the name of God. Meet your difficulties calmly and fairly. Do not develop any tricks just commit yourself to God.
If you can only trust and praise God, you will see marvellous things that will astonish you. Perhaps you are wondering where you shall get the next meals, cast your cares and troubles on God. Don’t be troubled. Instead of mistrusting your keeper hold your peace and rejoice. The Lord has constantly been true, do not doubt. If some remarkable trial should way lay you, you should find grace from him who hath been for he will never forsake thee.
The true test of your faith is not your attitude in times of peace but your disposition in times of crisis. Your ability to remain calm and confident in storms of life is a reflection of how much grace you have in God and how much trust you can hold on to in God.
When you say a situation is hopeless, you belittle God, undermine his power and make him a liar. What can be more demeaning and dishonouring than declaring impossible before him who says “all things are possible”?. The will of God will not lead you where the grace of God cannot keep you. Whatever God allows in your life he gives you ample grace to cope with it and sufficient strength to triumph in it.
Fears does not make you escape evil, it only makes you unfit to cope with it when it comes. So banish your fears, worries and doubts and rest in your father’s infinite love and care. He has never failed. He will never fail! Rejoice!
